How: Call 239-642-2359 to book your exploration of paradise with the Marco Island Ski and Watersports. If jet skiing isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other activities to participate in—like the annual Marco Triathlon, held this year on October 5th.
Did You Know: It is believed that the ancestors of the fierce Calusa Indians inhabited this remote island. Evidence of their existence was first discovered in 1895 when Captain Bill Collier, son of Marco’s founder W.T. Collier, was digging on his property known then as Key Marco. Today, this area is called Old Marco and was the site of one of the most successful archeological digs in North America.
