The Runner’s World Cookbook: 150 Recipes for Fueling Up and Slimming Down – While Enjoying Every Bite
By: Joanna Sayago Golub (editor). Published October 1, 2013. Buy it here.
Good For: Runners and triathletes, endurance athletes who go long and need the right fuel for distance. Includes a handy intro on how to eat like a runner (and no, runners don’t get to just eat anything and everything).
Review: We’re certainly intrigued by recipes such as Long Run Cake with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting, but for the dairy free/gluten free/paleo athletes, it’s not a good option. Things like Banana-Oat Energy Bars and Penne with Turkey-Feta Meatballs sound enticing yet mostly waistline friendly. A good cookbook for the runner who needs a few new recipes to spice up his or her weekly routine.
