Swap in ground salmon for fresh fish burgers

These days convenience is important and with hectic schedules some may find it difficult not to fall into the fast food trap on occasion. Make your own healthy clean eating fast foods.

Here are two of my recipes that can be eaten cold or hot which are great for travel or packed lunches or quick snacks, pre or post workout.

They can be stored in the fridge for a few days.

Savoury or sweet!

Curry Salmon burgers.

You will need:

  • 5oz Wild caught pink salmon (finely chopped)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup Quinoa flour
  • ½ cup Bob’s red mill old fashioned Oats
  • ½ teaspoon Herbamare seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon tumeric
  • ¼ teaspoon curry powder

Makes approximately 4 burgers.

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees f.

Mix all ingredients together well.

Spread the mixture into 4 patties on a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Bake in the oven for approximately 12 minutes, turn the patties over halfway.

These can be eaten alone, or on a bed of spinach or salad, or in a bun.

I like them cold as a snack and sometimes post workout!
