This year the 3rd Annual Memorial Day 10K & 5K Race will start a NEW 5 YEAR RACE SERIES honoring each branch of our United States Armed Forces. This year’s theme is dedicated to the oldest and largest branch, the United States Army! Hooah!

The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation is pleased to present the 7th Annual Cape Coral Yacht Club Sprint Triathlon. This is now a USAT sanctioned event and we are proud to partner with Lee Memorial Health System who has agreed to be the title sponsor for this event.

Entry Fee: $65 per individual participant.

Team entry fee: $150 (Max 3 participants per team)

A $12 one-day license fee applies for non-USAT members. Each participant MUST have a valid USAT license and a valid photo ID (i.e. driver’s license).

Swim

This races features a .25 mile open water swim in the Caloosahatchee River located at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park.

Bike

The 11 mile bike ride will begin and end at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park and consist of two 5.5 mile loops.

Run

A 5k run will conclude the event with the run course traveling through the historic Riverside Drive, Dolphin Drive, and ending on the Yacht Club Beach.

Awards

Awards will be given for the top 3 male and female athletes overall, as well as in the following age groups (no duplicates): 9-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.

Day of Race Registration starts at 6:00am

Awards will be given to overall male & female and top 3 in each age group (male & female)

Course will be open for at least 1 hour – results will be tallied as soon as possible

  • Pets are welcome to participate with their Guardians but MUST be leashed (non-retractable leads only) and up to date with vaccinations. They must be accustomed to the distance and weather (3.1 miles) and able to not interfere with other participants or pets. If your dog is struggling, please stop.  Water and cooling stations will be throughout.
  • Family Pack allows 2 Adults, up to 4 Youths – one T-shirt only
  • Day of Race (chipped) Price increase to $35 Adults and $25 Youth 17 and Under – Additional $5.00 if running with a dog.
  • Dog Tired, Virtual Race participants must register by 3/11/16 to be guaranteed a shirt.  Dog Tired participants are not eligible for the Triple Crown Award.

A percentage of the registration fee will go back to the school with the largest team!  Simply sign up, choose “I’d like to register on an Existing Team”, find your school name from the “Registered Teams” drop down menu and register your self!  Your school does not have to be involved in Girls on the Run to register your school.  Your school does have to be within the Collier County school district.
