Junior Fun Run

Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at 1pm

Hundreds of young participants turn out to show their determination and pride. The Junior Fun Run is open to children in grades five and below. Grades 4 & 5 run a mile, 3rd graders run three-quarters of a mile, first and second graders run half a mile, kindergarten students run one-quarter mile, and students under 5 years old run 50-75 yards. The Fort Myers Track Club helps to make this a fantastic active event for the children and many children run year after year!

There is a $5.00 entry fee, which includes a t-shirt and ribbon, for all children wishing to participate

Paradise Coast Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K

February 15th, 2015

Start Time: 6:45am, 5k Starts 5 Minutes Later
USA Track and Field Certified, Boston Qualifier: FL14021EBM
Time Limit: 6 hours
Shirts: Each participant will receive a colorful commemorative dry fit tech shirt.
Parking: There is ample parking at the Florida Sports Park where the race starts and ends.
Water Stops: There will be water and gatorade at the water stops approximately every 2 miles.
Restrooms: On the course at Eagle Lakes Community Park just past the halfway mark of the Half Marathon.
Packet Pick Up: Fit2Run Naples (Time TBD)
Race Day Packet Pick Up: 5:30-6:30am at The Florida Sports Park
Still want the bling but can’t make it to Naples? Sign up for the Virtual Run option and we’ll mail you a finisher medal and tshirt! Run 13.1 anywhere on 2/15 and email us your time. We’ll include all virtual runners in their own category.

What is the Stoplight Party & Run?

If you have ever wondered if the cute person you noticed is single or not then the stoplight 5K is for you. The stoplight 5K is the first ever fun run and party to promote healthiness and allow you to easily advertise your availability. The concept is simple. You wear the color that best associates with your relationship status: Green = single, Yellow = somewhere in the middle and Red = committed. There are 3 colors in a stoplight so you don’t just have to be “Green” to come and have fun! If you wear red or yellow you are still guaranteed to have a great time at the best party available on Valentine’s Day.

Gold Medal 5K

Come participate in this fun race to help benefit the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund and to recognize members of the Gulf Coast Runners Gold Medal Club!! Race is in the beautiful Pelican Bay neighborhood.

Hooters Half Marathon 2015

Over 1150 runners registered to take part in the 2014 Hooters to Hooters Half Marathon.

The course begins at Hooters on Cleveland ave, proceeds down
Colonial Blvd, on to McGregor Blvd, through the beautiful neighborhoods along the Caloosahatchee, then continues through the downtown River district, over the Edison Bridge and back. It then proceeds past the City of Palms Park and then continues south to the Edison Mall and then to back to Hooters.

The Hooters Half Marathon benefits the Moffitt Cancer Center. Since its inception, the Hooters to Hooters Half Marathon has raised over $200,000 for cancer research.

Proceeds from this event are being donated to Barbara’s Friends and The Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dave Cranon Free 5K on New Year’s Day

Dave Cranor 5K a FREE race starting at 7:30AM. Just show up! No pre-registration is necessary. After the race there will be free bagels, coffee, OJ and mimosas!

PARKING AVAILABLE AT FLORIDA FIRST INTEGRITY BANK

Time Trial Cycle will be hosting a 3 hour outdoor cycle ride on New Year’s Day from9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Leader boards will still be used outside for all riders to challenge themselves to work a little harder. Cost is $10 an hour to reserve a bike. You can ride for an hour or for three hours.

It will be a fun New Year’s Day morning party!
