A TRi-riffic way to start and end your summer! Please make plans to join us at North Collier Regional Park on the Saturday August 15th for a morning of running, biking, and swimming (yes, it is in reverse order, but we’ve found it works best for the kids). And speaking of swimming, it takes place in the Lazy River, how cool is that?!?! And for those who are new to the sport of triathlon, we are offering a FREE training clinic on Saturday, June 6th at 8:30am. This informational session will teach kids how to properly transition from running to biking and from biking to swimming as well as allow them to train on the actual race course (please bring your bike, helmet, running shoes, goggles, and a towel). NO CHILD WILL BE TURNED AWAY. Bottom line, we love introducing kids to the sport of triathlon, and giving them an opportunity to participate in an activity that will allow them to stay healthy. So if the entry fee is an issue, or if your child does not have a bike to use, please do not hesitate to contact Steven Gust and we’ll make sure that your son/daughter is able to participate. ABOUT:
The discussion will cover the mental skills the kids use for peak performance and then parents will be taught the same skills in the context of parenting. For instance, emotion regulation, relaxation, focus. We discuss communication and how to foster optimism and a growth mindset through communication. And finally we talk about self awareness and parents leave with a mission statement describing what they want for their athlete and how they will achieve their sport parenting goals.

The brave women of the Afghan National Women’s Cycling Team have a mission: to break through the gender barriers that exist in their country and around the world by riding their bikes.
Liv supports the team’s efforts and is proud to be part of an upcoming event called the Global Solidarity Ride. Scheduled to take place on August 30, all around the world, this is a way for us all to show the women of Afghanistan that they are not alone in their revolutionary actions.
Cyclists everywhere will take to their wheels in solidarity with the Afghan women who dare to ride, and in remembrance of the women that dared to ride before, and in doing so paved the way for independent mobility and freedom for women around the world.
Ride with them as we pedal a revolution.
There will be a choice of 3 distances:
15 miles
30 miles
45 miles
Support will be provided along the way, with an aid station for all distances. We will enjoy food and entertainment upon our return to the store.
