Weeknight dinners can be a real challenge, I am always trying to come up with ideas that are quick, healthy and oh so tasty. This five minute flounder recipe is perfect because the fish comes out cooked perfectly every time! Feel free to switch up the seasonings and the sides for new flavors. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Ingredients:
4 fillets of flounder thawed (flounder filets are very thin so some people may eat two)
Olive oil
Your favorite seasoning blend, I use MAGIC Blackened Redfish Magic.
You will also need parchment paper

flounder

Method:

Preheat your oven broiler to hi. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper. Take your fillets out of the packaging and pat them dry with a paper towel. Next, brush olive oil on both sides of the filet and set them on the parchment paper in a single layer. Sprinkle the top with seasoning. Place the fish in the oven and cook for five minutes. Take out and enjoy!

Chef’s Note: Flounder is a thin and super mild white fish that is caught in cold waters but can be found in any major grocery store or fish market. When I buy frozen fish I make sure it is vacuum packed (most of it is). This way it is super easy to thaw quickly. I place the vacuum bag in a bowl of luke warm water.
