6th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon

Themed around sisterhood and inspiration, the event is organized for and by Southwest Florida women to empower sisters, mothers, daughters and friends to take control of their heart health and support others living with heart disease. Guests will learn how to prevent heart disease by creating a culture of health for themselves and their loved ones during the sixth annual luncheon which features:

  • 10:30 a.m. Registration and networking
  • Sponsored booths, giveaways, activities and a heart-healthy meal
  • NBC-2 News Anchor, local Go Red For Women campaign spokesperson Stacey Deffenbaugh as emcee
  • Keynote address by Dr. Javier Cuevas: A Battle for your Heart…and your Brain

Heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. In fact, it claims more lives than all forms of cancer combined – taking one mother, daughter, sister or friend every minute.

While there are many similarities in the symptoms of heart disease in men and women, there are even more differences – differences that could save, or end, a life. The annual Go Red for Women Luncheon was designed to help address such issues and focuses on heightening awareness of heart disease, creating a passionate call to action and generating funds for education and research targeting women.
